Compliance to eLearning Standards
CommLab India specializes in converting and upgrading courses to comply with eLearning standards. Our services include:
- Converting course packages from non-compliant platforms to compliant platforms (SCORM/AICC).
- Upgrading course packages from lower compliance versions to higher, that is from SCORM 1.2 to SCORM 1.3.
- Developing courses adhering to Section 508 of the Disabilities Act.
- Making courses compatible with multiple browsers such as Internet Explorer, Netscape, Firefox, etc.
We have the capability to work on both HTML as well as Flash-based courses.
Here are some of our experiences on converting courses to SCORM/AICC.
Making 500 Legacy Courses SCORM-compliant for a Global Electronic Equipment Manufacturer.
Our client had developed courses using an authoring tool which did not publish SCORM-compliant courses. These courses had been deployed on a non-SCORM compliant LMS. The client wanted to migrate all these courses to a SCORM-complaint LMS, without changing the functionality of the courses. The courses had been developed using frame, layers, and complicated coding.
We implemented the SCORM wrapper coding in between the Javascript files and successfully launched them on the SCORM- complaint LMS without affecting the functionality of the courses.
Converting SCORM 1.2 courses to SCORM 1.3 and AICC Level II for a Software Company.
The courses developed by our client were already SCORM 1.2 complaint. The client wanted them to be upgraded to SCORM 1.3 and AICC Level II. We made a single version of the course that was both SCORM 1.3 and AICC Level II complaint.
