A Learning Management System (or LMS) is a software application that is used to plan, deliver, publish and place self-paced online courses in online catalogs. When a learner logs into the LMS by using a browser, he selects courses from the online catalog and begins his online study. With the help of the LMS, the learner's activities related to the courses can be tracked, apart from his performance, competency management and other related functionalities.
