CommLab India, a globally recognized leader in rapid eLearning solutions provider, celebrated its 23rd Annual Thanksgiving with a heartening gesture, by hosting – 'Daawat Hyderabad 2023’ (Daawat translates to feast). This charitable event was held at Banjara Hills, Hyderabad – the company’s headquarters.

It exceeded expectations by distributing 5300 portions of delectable Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani with Double ka Meetha (Indian bread pudding). This event extended a hearty meal to approximately 7500 individuals across orphanages, shelter homes, old-age homes, and slums at various locations in Hyderabad and Secunderabad twin cities.

What started as a plan to prepare 5300 packets turned into a remarkable achievement, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the entire CommLab India team. The massive undertaking involved meticulous planning a few days before the event, with dedicated teams managing every stage from procuring the raw materials, cleaning and marination, cooking, packing, sealing, transportation, and distribution.

The preparation began the night before the event, with a team marinating 1380 kgs of chicken, infusing it with a unique blend of whole spices and curd. The cooking team, comprising two groups of 20 members each, worked tirelessly through the early morning hours to prepare 1200 kgs of rice and the very flavorful Hyderabadi Biryani. This year, the menu expanded to include the sweet delight of double ka meetha, made with 100 fresh loaves of bread prepared for serving.

While the city slept on the cold winter night, CommLab India's in-house chefs infused the air with the aromatic fragrance of the Biryani. The packing team, consisting of six groups with 50 members each, ensured that the first round of food packets was ready within two hours, ready to be transported to various locations.

Ten to fifteen distribution teams, each comprising 2-3 members, set out on different routes to distribute the packets to the homeless and needy, spreading warmth and smiles along the way.

Dr. Ayesha Habeeb Omer, COO & Co-Founder, CommLab India, conveyed the profound meaning behind the annual event, stating, “Our annual Thanksgiving event is very close to our hearts. It shows the abundance we have in our lives – a poignant reminder that the more we give, the more we receive!”

Dr. RK Prasad, Ph.D., CEO & Co-Founder, CommLab India, emphasized that serving the needy has always been at the heart of CommLab India’s values since its inception. He added, “CommLab India as a team, looks forward to continuing its tradition of giving back to the community, aspiring to reach even greater milestones in the years to come.”
